ICE Agent Shoots Man After ‘Ambush’ Attack in North Minneapolis
A federal immigration enforcement operation in north Minneapolis ended with a man shot in the leg Wednesday night after an ICE agent was reportedly attacked outside an apartment building.

EMS radio traffic indicated paramedics were sent to the scene for a male with a gunshot wound to the thigh. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara later said the wound was non-life-threatening.
Giovanni Lisandro Suarez, 26, is charged with felony theft of a motor vehicle and felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle in connection with the incident, which unfolded on Jan. 12.
Prosecutors have charged 25-year-old Trashaun Nij Morris with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm or ammunition and with recklessly discharging a firearm within a municipality.

Responding officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, MPD said.
Just before 7:15 p.m. on Jan. 9, the collision occurred on the ramp from southbound I-35W to Cliff Road. State Patrol said a semi driver heading southbound took the ramp and struck a pedestrian and a vehicle that were in the roadway.
