A man is facing criminal charges after allegedly misrepresenting himself as a law enforcement officer to obtain discounts at a Chipotle restaurant on multiple occasions.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County, the incidents occurred between January 31 and February 25, 2025, at a Chipotle location in Brooklyn Park.
A male suspect reportedly entered the restaurant twice during that period, claiming to be a police officer and requesting a discount on his food. On both occasions, he displayed what appeared to be a badge and made verbal assertions about his supposed authority.
The store employee declined the requests. During the first encounter, the man allegedly made veiled threats, warning the employee to “watch out” while driving because he was a police officer. After the second incident, the same man reportedly left in a blue Chevrolet Impala with a license plate registered to George Howland Jackson Sr., who matched the description provided by the employee.

When contacted by law enforcement, the 62-year-old suspect admitted to being at the restaurant but denied identifying himself as an officer. Following the police visit, the employee received a phone call from a woman who questioned why police had been sent to her residence. The caller allegedly defended the man’s actions by claiming he was a former officer and threatened to contact immigration authorities regarding the employee and others at the restaurant.
A search of state and national law enforcement databases confirmed that the suspect is not, and has never been, a licensed peace officer.
Jackson has been charged with one misdemeanor count of impersonating a peace officer. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail, a $1,000 fine, or both. He has been summoned to appear in court at a later date on the matter.
