Man Shot Twice Outside Saint Paul Bar Early Monday

A man was shot early Monday outside a Saint Paul bar, prompting a police search that led to the arrest of a woman found hiding in a nearby garage.

According to initial information, Saint Paul officers were dispatched just after 12:40 a.m. on Monday, April 7, to Cheers Pub at 1067 Hudson Road for multiple 911 callers reporting gunfire.

When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds to both his arm and leg. Saint Paul Fire medics transported him to Regions Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Responding officers canvassed the area and located an adult female hiding inside a garage near the scene. Investigators confirmed that the woman did not live at that address and she was taken into custody, though it was not immediately clear whether she was involved in the shooting.

According to initial radio dispatches, the female was bitten by a police canine and medics reported she had a wound to her leg.

No arrests have been announced and authorities have not said if any weapons were recovered. The investigation remains active as police work to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting and the woman’s potential connection.
