More than 20,000 acres have burned across northeastern Minnesota as three large wildfires continue to threaten homes, prompt evacuations, and strain local firefighting resources.

By mid-afternoon, the fire had reached an estimated 160 acres. By late afternoon, the blaze had grown to roughly 200 acres and had destroyed at least one garage.

One fire threatened multiple homes near Shoreview and another destroyed a residence and two vehicles on the Prairie Island Indian Community near Red Wing.
