A 33-year-old man has been charged after an alleged burglary Sunday morning led to a 9-hour long standoff at an Eagan home and the deployment of a SWAT team and armored vehicle.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a crash left three people dead, including two young children just after 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The crash happened near the intersection of Bunker Lake Boulevard NE. & Butternut Street NW. on the border of Ham Lake and Andover.
Woman Found Dead After Apartment Fire in North St. Paul; Suspect Arrested
A woman was found dead and a man was taken into custody after fire crews responded to an apartment building on fire on the 2200 block of South Ave. E. just after 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigators discovered the woman’s remains inside the apartment.
2 Dead After Motorcycle Crash in Newport
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that resulted in the deaths of two people in Newport on Friday evening. The crash was reported to authorities just after 6:15 p.m. According to the State Patrol, a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on Highway 61 and taking the exit to I-494 when it veered off the roadway, rolled and came to rest in the grass median.
Man, Woman Dead in Suspected Murder-Suicide in Saint Paul
Saint Paul police confirm a man and woman are dead after an apparent murder-suicide inside a residence on the 2000 block of California Ave. E. around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday night. Police say a child initially called 911 to report the incident.
Man's Body Pulled From St. Croix River After Abandoned Boat Found
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after recovering a body from the St. Croix River north of Stillwater on Monday afternoon. Authorities say shortly after 9 a.m., they were notified of an unoccupied fishing boat seen along the Minnesota shoreline near the St. Croix Boom Site.
Wright County Deputies Fatally Shoot Man Wielding Knife in Otsego
Deputies with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office fatally shot a man early Sunday morning after he reportedly fled from a residence while armed with a knife in Otsego. According to a media release from the sheriff’s office, deputies were called at 12:52 a.m. to the 12000 block of 72nd Court Northeast in Otsego. A caller had reported that a man was threatening physical harm to his family and himself.
Teen Shot and Killed at Downtown Minneapolis Light Rail Stop
Minneapolis police have confirmed that a teenage male victim was fatally shot at the Nicollet Mall Light Rail platform downtown around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police found the victim with a critical gunshot wound at the platform, and images later shared with MN CRIME showed a white sheet covering the victim’s body.
