1 Dead, At Least 6 Injured in String of Minneapolis Shootings
Police are investigating after a string of shootings Friday afternoon into early Saturday morning left one person dead and at least six others wounded in Minneapolis. Officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 2700 block of 15th Ave. S. just before 11:30 p.m. on Friday. When they arrived, police found an adult male with a gunshot wound inside the residence. The man was later pronounced deceased by paramedics.
Rochester Firefighters Fight Mobile Home Blaze Early Friday Morning
Rochester firefighters were called to Bob’s Trailer Court early Friday morning for a report of a trailer on fire. Firefighters arrived and found half of a structure fully-involved and threatening other nearby structures. Crews quickly pulled hose lines and attempted to knock down the fire from the outside to protect nearby buildings.
17-year-old Accused of Killing Grandmother, Attacking 4 in Roseville Home
Authorities have released new details on a Roseville homicide and ensuing manhunt for the suspect on Tuesday morning. The 17-year-old suspect—Matthew Francis Hill—is accused of killing his 88-year-old grandmother and attacking four other family members before fleeing from a home on the 1100 block of Ryan Ave. Police were called there around 10:20 a.m. for a report of a teenage family member who “went crazy” and was attacking others inside the home.
Man Charged in Double-Homicide at Saint Paul Sober House
A man on supervised release and previously civilly committed is now accused in a brutal double-homicide at a sober house in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood of Saint Paul. 32-year-old Joseph Francis Sandoval, II, was arrested just after the killings and is now formally charged with two counts of 2nd-degree murder.
Man Charged After Girl Found Beaten, Burned in Maplewood Apartment
A 26-year-old Maplewood man has been charged with 2nd-degree murder after authorities found his girlfriend’s 17-month-old daughter severely beaten and burned inside a Maplewood apartment earlier this week. Terrance Valdez Leslie is accused in the young girl’s death Tuesday, Oct. 18 on the 1400 block of County Rd. B. E.
Man Fatally Shot in Saint Paul's Thomas-Dale Neighborhood
Police say around 6:35 p.m., officers were sent to the area of Thomas Ave. & Grotto St., where they found an adult male victim with apparent gunshot wounds. The man was taken to the hospital but was later declared deceased.
Fatal Shooting in Payne-Phalen is Saint Paul's 28th Homicide This Year
Police are investigating the city’s 28th homicide of the year after a fatal shooting around midday Monday in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood. Police found the victim with apparent gunshot wounds around 12:30 p.m. on the 1000 block of York Ave.
Woman Arrested After Alleged Racist Assault in Waite Park
WAITE PARK—Police arrested a 33-year-old woman on Saturday after officers were dispatched to a knife complaint at an apartment building on the 200 block of 3rd St. S. in Waite Park. Several 911 callers had reported that a woman was entering apartments and threatening to kill people while armed with a knife.
