19-year-old Driver Fatally Strikes Pedestrian, Dog in Plymouth
A 19-year-old Delano, Minn., man is charged with criminal vehicular homicide after allegedly speeding through a Plymouth street, striking a pedestrian and a dog and leaving the scene of the crash Wednesday night.
Police found the 65-year-old male victim lying in a driveway on the 17200 block of Co. Rd. 24 just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, with the victim’s dog lying dead about 100 feet away
Brainerd Man Gets 4 Years in Prison, Restitution for MPD 3rd Precinct Arson
A Brainerd man has been sentenced to 48 months in prison and must pay $12 million in restitution for his role in the arson at the Minneapolis Police Department’s 3rd Precinct building last May.
High-Speed Chase Ends in Fiery Head-On Crash in Bloomington
State Troopers near Owatonna spotted a freshly stolen vehicle from the Holiday gas station on I-35, just north of the city late Sunday afternoon, April 25. Troopers initiated a pursuit and the driver fled at a high rate of speed to the north. Troopers continued the pursuit north into the city of Bloomington.
Suspect Arrested After Woman, 19, Found Dead in South Minneapolis
Minneapolis police are investigating the city’s 23rd homicide of 2021 after a 19-year-old woman was found dead inside a residence on the south side of the city Friday afternoon. A suspect, Jose Daniel Cuenca-Zuniga, 23, was arrested in Ohio later the same day, police said, and will be extradited to Minnesota to face charges.
