The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified the victim of a fatal north Minneapolis shooting earlier this week as 14-year-old Alan Jermaine Davis, of Minneapolis.

Man Sentenced for Eagan Teen's Overdose Death
A 29-year-old Burnsville man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to 3rd-degree murder for providing a lethal dose of fentanyl that killed an Eagan teen in 2021. Jamal Ahmed Adan was sentenced to 60 months in prison on Thursday as part of a plea agreement where prosecutors also agreed to drop a felony drug charge.
Motorcyclist Dies in Anoka County After Hitting U-Haul
Emergency crews were called to the area of St. Francis Boulevard Northwest, just north of Alpine Drive around 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Bystanders and first responders attempted life-saving measures, however he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time.
Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Fridley Shooting
According to a criminal complaint, officers were called to Unity Hospital for a man suffering from a gunshot wound just before 3:00 p.m. on May 22 and talked with the victim about the shooting. The victim told officers the shooting occurred on the 600 block of Osborne Road in Fridley at an apartment building and a man named “Johnny” was the one who shot him.

A 27-year-old man was arrested after allegedly fleeing from officers twice, abandoning his car and later showing up at the police station to ask about the vehicle. Saint Cloud police officers were monitoring a parking lot on May 18 at a Saint Cloud business after multiple thefts had taken place recently.

Anoka Man Pleads Guilty in Cold-Case Murder of Infant Daughter
An Anoka man who admitted to killing his 3-month-old child more than 13 years ago has agreed to plead guilty to one count of 2nd-degree murder. 38-year-old Benjamin Alexander Russell agreed to the plea deal last week and is expected to be sentenced to more than 11 years in prison in July.
Stillwater Inmates Charged After Escape from Custody
Criminal complaints filed on Friday allege that inmates Timothy Curtis St. Clair Jr., 36, and Kristopher Lee Roybal, 40, walked away from the minimum-security housing area late Tuesday night. Both inmates were wearing GPS ankle monitors which showed them near a restaurant in Oak Park Heights and they were taken into custody nearby.

A man was shot and killed early Saturday, found dead in an alley off the 600 block of Arlington Ave. E., Saint Paul police have confirmed. Officers responded just after midnight to the area of Payne Ave. & Arlington Ave. E. for multiple 911 callers hearing gunfire near the intersection.
Man Fatally Struck by LRT After 'Altercation' in Downtown Minneapolis
Minneapolis police say a man was fatally struck by a Light Rail train at the Warehouse District station downtown around 1 a.m. Saturday after a "physical altercation" with another man on the platform. The victim reportedly fell onto the tracks after the altercation on the platform near at 5th St. & 1st Ave., was struck by an oncoming train and was later pronounced dead.
MSP Airport Police Arrest 2 with 50+ Pounds of Cocaine
Police say on May 16, Ladale Jajaun Solomon Jr., 29, had arrived on an inbound flight to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on a flight from Los Angeles and was scheduled to make a connecting flight to Cleveland, Ohio. He had checked a 59 pound suitcase on the flight, which a certified drug detection dog provided a positive alert to the odor of controlled substances.
Man Convicted of Murder in Eagan Fatal Shooting
According to the criminal complaint, Eagan police officers were dispatched to the Marathon gas station at 1969 Silver Bell Rd. just before 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 for reports of a man on the ground who was shot and possibly dead. At the same time, officers were notified of a crash about 100 yards from the gas station with someone running on foot from the area.
CHARGES: Driver on Snapchat Hit Motorcyclist Head-on
Officers were sent to Highway 47 near the Anoka County Fairgrounds in Anoka on reports of a minivan that had collided head-on with the motorcyclist. Several witnesses reported seeing the motorcyclist being thrown from the vehicle and flipping through the air before landing on the pavement.

A Minneapolis man faces multiple murder charges for allegedly killing two people and wounding a third in a February drug deal shooting. Charging documents say officers responded to an apartment building on the 2800 block of Colfax Ave. S. in Minneapolis on Feb. 15 just after 11:30 p.m. on a report of a shooting.
Man Charged After White Bear Lake Fire Injures 1
A man is charged with a felony after allegedly causing a fire at a White Bear Lake four-plex that critically injured a woman who was unable to escape the residence late Saturday night. 45-year-old Christian Thomas Dahm, of White Bear Lake, is charged with one felony count of negligent fires causing great bodily harm. The charge carries a possible sentence of up to five years in prison.
1 Arrested After Suspected OD Death in Minneapolis
According to police, a preliminary investigation indicates that the victim may have been given a narcotic by the suspect, 39-year-old Dewayne Wesley Center, leading to his death. Center was a resident and was known to the victim, police say.
Minneapolis Woman’s Beating Death Ruled Homicide
Minneapolis police say on March 17, officers responded to conduct a welfare check at a residence on the 3100 block of W. Lake St. for a woman who hadn’t been heard from or seen in several days. Officers made entry into the residence and found 60-year-old Stephanie Katherine DeRousse deceased.
15-year-old Girl Dies After Being Shot in the Back
Minneapolis police say a girl has died at the hospital after she was shot around 10 p.m. Saturday. Minneapolis officers responded to North Memorial Medical Center on a report of a shooting victim that was brought to the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite doctors’ best efforts, the teenager died.
3 Teens Arrested After Shots Fired from Stolen Vehicle, Pursuit in Minneapolis
Minneapolis police confirm three juvenile suspects were apprehended Monday after they allegedly fired off a dozen rounds on the 2100 block of Girard Ave. N. in a stolen Kia around 2:10 p.m. and led officers on a long-winding pursuit that eventually ended near 28th St. E. & Portland Ave. S. about a half-hour later.
