Firefighters responded to the 7400 block of North Street just before midnight and arrived to find heavy flames coming from the rear of the house. The fire escalated to a second alarm, prompting additional resources from Hopkins.

A former school district employee has now been federally charged with producing sexually exploitative images of children using artificial intelligence, as well as possession and receipt of child pornography.

Burnsville police responded to the 1800 block of Country View Drive shortly before 4:45 p.m. and secured the area, closing parts of County Road 11 and Country View and activating a shelter-in-place alert for nearby residents.

The attack happened on Feb. 15, 2025, on the 2500 block of Lyndale Avenue South, and was reportedly the result of a prior dispute between the suspect and the victims.

When officers arrived, they found the victim with multiple stab wounds, including injuries to her face and arm.

According to court documents, Jordan Lee Schoen, 39, and Katrina Noelle Doneux, 34, were charged in Rice County District Court in connection with alleged abuse that took place between Dec. 2019 and Dec. 2021.

The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Matthew Dean Liimatainen, 33, of Aitkin. He fled the scene in a stolen 2022 black Ford F-150 with Minnesota plates JHR-837.

The crash occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. near Westminster Street and Maryland Avenue East and involved a police squad car and a Honda CR-V.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the semi was traveling northbound when it failed to navigate a curve, left the roadway, rolled and struck a tree.

According to the criminal complaint, Kendra Faye Dunblazier, 30, was employed as a work release officer at the Anoka County Workhouse for just over three months in 2024.

Upon arrival, deputies found the home engulfed in flames. Fire crews worked to control the blaze and later discovered the two deceased individuals inside.
