A man is facing criminal charges after allegedly misrepresenting himself as a law enforcement officer to obtain discounts at a Chipotle restaurant on multiple occasions.

The investigation began on March 2, when Mounds View police received a report of a missing 15-year-old boy. While attempting to locate the juvenile, family members examined the teen’s electronic devices and found recent conversations between the teen and a person identifying himself as “Nick Miller.”

The investigation began in September 2022 when federal authorities received a cybertip indicating that an individual using the Kik messaging application had uploaded multiple videos containing child sexual abuse material.

Troopers say Michelle Marie Holter, of Thief River Falls, was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on State Highway 32 when she collided hear-on with another driver just after noon.

A woman, later identified as the man’s wife, had suffered a deep stab wound to her chest and was found in the parking lot of the New Hope Police Department. Initially, she told authorities that she accidentally fell on the knife while cooking.

According to criminal complaints filed in Hennepin County, Kashmir McReynolds, 35, and Alvin Watkins Jr., 50, were involved in an exchange of gunfire near 36th Avenue North and Penn Avenue North on March 10.

Knyaw Taw admitted in court on March 12, 2025, that he intentionally shot and killed 22-year-old Davion Brown outside Maryland Tobacco on the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue East, court documents say.

Officers arrived at the scene on the 1900 block of Wilson Avenue around 4 p.m. and met with the victim outside the residence. She said her ex-partner was inside and may have been armed with a firearm.

A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after crashing into a pickup truck in Brooklyn Park Thursday evening. He was not wearing a helmet and the Minnesota State Patrol says alcohol was involved.
